Going on a mission is the best thing I've ever decided to do. It has completely changed my life. I am so thankful for all your support!

May 23, 2016

this week.............................................
We taught Gibbison, he is good, he almost came to volleyball, it's hard to explain to people how much we actually need our Heavenly Father!
We saw Sara, she is good, from Italy and really interested. After meeting with her for the first time, she said how she went home and prayed, and felt the spirit! She is getting baptized in June!
Taught a man named Sebastien with Brother Quirke, while teaching him, this man named Richard came and joined us, it was fun and awesome!
We saw Josephine❤I love her! Cathy Peters drove us down which was soo nice! It's beautiful in Clon!
Penny Dinners! Ah what a party!!
Games Night...also great!!
Had dinner with Virginie and it was amazing! she is French! and made crepes! They were so good! and kesh and other good food!
Dinner with Hannah as well, and Kagaris, and Megan and Andrew Peters! so much good food. this is why i'm fat.

There is not a lot to say, because my mind has gone completely blank.....

Going on a mission is the best thing I've ever decided to do. It has completely changed my life. I am so thankful for all your support!
I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church on the earth. That Joseph Smith restored it, and translated the book of mormon, which is the word of God, and brings men closer to God and the Saviour. I know that Jesus is the Christ. He died for us, and He lives! Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet, and is under the direction of the Saviour. This is the greatest work we could ever engage in, the salvation of the human soul. I am eternally grateful for the chance i've had to be here. This is my testimony, which I hold dear to my heart, in the name of my Saviour, the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Sister Buhler
I'll see you soon.

"But behold, the Lord hath redeemed my soul from hell; I have beheld his glory, and I am encircled about eternally in the arms of his love."

May 16, 2016
We traveled up to Dublin and had an All Ireland Conference there! It was really nice! I gave my last testimony:( That was a bitter-sweet moment. Strange to be at the end. I see all the incoming missionaries share why the decided to come, and I envy them a little....but time goes so fast. And i was fore-ordained to be in Scotland/Ireland Dec. 2014 to June 2016.

After the conference, we spent the rest of the evening in Dublin! With Sister Petersen and Muller. They are some of the best! It was really fun! Sister Muller and I taught two lesson and on the way home it decided to pour, like when you are at a water park under the bucket, yes. soaking my friends..absolutely soaking. We had a good laugh though.

The next morning they came down to Cork with us to do a big "blitz".
*blitz: where more missionaries come down and find you people to teach and all that.
so instead of 6 missionaries in Cork, there where 12! yes. crazy.
So sister Muller and Petersen, then elder mulville and Salinas, then elder Lindsey and haller.
SUPER FUN!
Sister Muller and I did finding all day! IT was awesome! I love talking to people! something I will really miss!
Man. for one day we had a 4 sister flat
*flat: apartment
And it was a PARTY. we tried to convince them to stay FOREVER. but they wouldn't😩😒

while i was busy finding sister Petersen and sister plummer went to the doctors for sister plummers toe....oh dear....😷
it got a lot worse....they will be operating on it, a week from this Tuesday😬
SO...that is unfortunate. to say the least.
While finding I spoke to a man, (homeless looking) he had lots of questions, and I told him we would answer them the following day. When I asked what his name is, he said, "I no have one. give me one" (but he is from the Czech republic, and has no teeth, so understanding him is a bit hard) But i heard is "gibbison" so i am like okay Gibbison tomorrow at one. Yeah. no idea. πŸ˜•
And oh gibbison is just a character! He calls me "Utah"  he said I go well on earth. Thank you? so he gave me a couple stones, and a container with sand, Irish sand😯
He is pretty funny. He gave Sister Plummer a jar of water and 3 feathers. she goes well on water......yep😏
Penny Dinners! It was good to go back! man they are so funny though! Tons of people come and donate! It is really nice to see everyone serving each other, and everyone is happy!πŸ™‚
Games Night went well! more people are coming out to it! whoot whoot!πŸ˜„
Patrick is good! Same old with him... I don't think he has the desire to truly know if this is the true church, but he is still willing to learn and read and pray.
Dinner at the Peters (Megan and Andrew) so fun! we brought swords, and played Ammon! those kids are just so cute!
Church was great!! As always! such a nice spirit there! As a branch we are working on being more united! I think we are slowly getting there! yay!πŸ˜€
Ponderizing for this week is 2 Nephi 1:15

"But behold, the Lord hath redeemed my soul from hell; I have beheld his glory, and I am encircled about eternally in the arms of his love."
I love you all! Enjoy your week!!!!πŸ˜˜πŸ€—

oh dear. sister plum-plum is still very VERY sick! Not to mention her toe...isn't looking great....
soooo in the flat for a lot of the week:( BUT now she is not sick AND her toe is getting looked at Wednesday. yeesh. I know
Mothers Day was magical! I love being able to hear everyones voices again, and how the speak! IT was the best! Lucky to have a great fam!
District Meeting: we really enjoy! Elder Corcoran served with me in Aberdeen, so it's funny to be serving with him again, and again he is my District Leader, and his meetings are really good and spiritually uplifting!
Brother Quirke's BBQ: brother quirke is just the funniest man ever! he made us a bbq and kept singing us old irish songs....so funny
We did make it to Clon this week, and saw Josie! YAY! cathy peters (rs. pres. ) took us down and we visited her and took a couple photos on the beach! Josie might be moving to Bantry (which is ages away) for surgery:((((
Taught Patrick-he is good, hard, but good. Seems to be more willing to pray and read the book of mormon, which is good. Just working on him getting his own testimony and having the desire to have a testimony.
Games Night: some elders got pretty intense at volleyball, we might not have it again...yes...oh dear is right...yeesh, but hey it was fun for the most part..haha drama llama.
It's Elder Swenson's Birthday today, so we all went to lunch and went bowling! So fun...I am so bad at bowling...no joke...no joke.
The weather (for the most part) has been beautiful! very warm! who knows i might get a tan!

Penny Dinners....same old. Edmond wasn't there which is sad because I brought him a book of Mormon. next time.

Patrick...sigh....he doesn't want to know if the church is true because he doesn't want to offend his family by being baptised......any ideas?

Games Night, I spiked the volleyball. go me. and Patrick came. and the elders investigator bought me a chocolate bar! whoot.

Andrea is good! she is coming to llama night! this Wednesday! yay! llama night!

Elder Salinas and Mulville drove me down to Cork. we got sister plummer, and got to our flat at 12pm...what a night! oh what a long night!

went chalking too! the weather has been really good!
ah. i met this really cool English Lady, but she is moving to spain:(((( boo...so we got here info for the spain missionaries......

dinner at the kagaris, WE WAITED 1 HOUR FOR THE BUS, there is supposed to be a bus ever 20mins....don't know what happened but we were late, to say the least.

saw Khanyo, she is good. We are trying to find a way to get here to church...wish us luck!

and josie, who is good, she is such a sweet old lady!

Penny Dinners, always fun!

sister plummer has an ingrown infected toe nail, so we spent a lot of time in the flat, beucase she can't walk
><
----

so hopefully the doctor can fix it today....i got to play doctor and help her soak her foot, and put stuff on it..pretty fun!

so my weekkkkkk

went to a farmers market and got burritos with the elders...they were really good....also elders made brownies....that is why i'm getting so fat.

saw Gary, and then he came with us and we saw patrick.

oh man, if any one has advice PLEASE SHARE.

Patrick is 22 and he is really nice, going to uni, and his family is catholic, he started meeting with us, stopped drinking, BUT HE WON'T PRAY ABOUT ANYTHING WE TEACH, or be baptized, he just doesn't see the point of truly knowing....any suggestions?

had delicious food at the stapeltons, trav made like noodles, and it was like pad thai and it was amazing!

we saw Josiephine, I love her. We found out we will be loosing the car this week, so i don't know how we are going to get down and see her, but where there is a will, there is a way! i am determined!

we saw Phindie, and Khanyo which was really good, we shared about Alma 26

we saw ingrid! she made sister skagen a goodbye cake, and it was amazing!

we got to go to Cobh(cove) and see Gary's family, they are all less-active, we didn't get to share a message, but we could tell his father, missed the church, when we were getting ready to leave, he said the closing prayer. later that night gary sent us a message saying "thank you. I haven't seen my father pray for years."
what a sweet tender mercy the Lord was able to give us, by letting us be apart of it, and apart of this families lives, we look forward to getting to know them more.

we had dinner with the Roys, and were able to speak to Laura about General Conference, what a blessing when these investigators already have a friend, if you know anyone who isn't a member, invite them to learn from the missionaries, it won't do any harm!:) Laura did come to conference to the Saturday Afternoon, sunday morning, and loved it.

penny dinners, and sister skagens last penny dinners, they let her give a speak and gave her a round of applause, it was funny. Everyone had their phones out and everything! totally awesome!

met with Jerome, and while at burger king, this drunk man was getting pretty upset at sister skagen (don't know why) so we had to leave, it was scary, but yet we feel peace from God. we were able to talk to Jerome about him mission papers.

conference.........

i loved the henry b. eyring in the womens session!
we need to listen and DO.

i loved donald l. hallstrom...we met i'm once...HE IS SO NICE.

AH. GO READ HIS AGAIN AND AGAIN
 what is our eternal identity?

they all were good!!
ah we also meet Elder kearon, his was amazing too!

some random quotes i love.

"reach out. and take His hands"

he did this just for me

i am a child of god and i know it.

the choices we make now. determine our destiny.

LEARN. LISTEN. WALK.

God sees us as we truly are and He see us worthy to rescue.

The Lord doesn't make it easy, but he makes it possible.

if we live the gospel then tomorrow will always be magnificent.

I thank God for a prophet to lead us and guide us in these days!!!

I know my Saviour lives! and love me to the end! I know He died for us, so we can return to live with God. He was foreordained, He did it because of love. Because of Him, we can find more peace and comfort! If you haven't seen it check out followhim.mormon.org

we had the opportunity to go visit 2 catholic churches with Patrick! They are huge and BEAUTIFUL. but it made me so grateful for our simple churches and the spirit I feel there! We asked Patrick about lots of things, and he wasn't sure, like paying to pray, and holy water, I don't quite understand. A lot of it is the traditions of their fathers, doesnt' that sound familiar. we taught patrick about the spirit and are trying to help him recognize the spirit, and why it's at our church and all that jazz.
we met this awesome man named Rory, he likes our morals! we gave him a tour of the church and he seemed really interested!
travelled up to limerick for a conference! couple hours on the bus! and a drunk man sang new york to us when we got there.
limerick conference was amazing! it makes me so happy to be a missionary!!!! Seriously! and makes me so excited to try the new things they advise us to do! i had an interview with president, he is the best! He said even after the mission i could call whenever! i love president and sister donaldson! what great people!
we got really good burritos! they tasted like America so that was exciting
ah i met this man from Seattle and he had the cutest little 5 year old EVER, she said we were best friends! the man was baptized but no longer interested! i just want to be like COME BACK IT IS GREAT! DON'T GO PLEASE. i wonder how Heavenly Father feels.
the man on the bus was dressed like the joker.
played volleyball and patrick came! it was really fun!
The elders called when they found out we were sick with the flu and asked if we needed anything, we were like diet coke, just kidding! then we went to evelyns baptism and the elders came in with a bag with 23 cans of diet coke!!!!
Easter, I played for the primary Gethsemane! it was sooo cute!!! I love Easter!!!!!
we saw the Obodes, and they gave us Easter eggs!!
I know my Saviour lives! and love me to the end! I know He died for us, so we can return to live with God. He was foreordained, He did it because of love. Because of Him, we can find more peace and comfort! If you haven't seen it check out followhim.mormon.org

i love cork!

so my week. was good, yeah it's great. i love cork!

We had dinner with the Roys, Jenna's mom sewed a dress for me (yay) and Jenna brought her friend Laura, and we were able to teach her and invite her to keep meeting with us!! It's the magical thing when members bring a friend to learn from the missionaries! seriously such a powerful lesson, and laura just felt the love of God, her Heavenly Father. It was amazing!

We got a phone (yay) yes, the other one disappeared in the toliet somewhere...so we got that set up and running thankfully!
We went Chalking with our whole District (8 missionaries) and it went really well! We met some really nice people and another friend of a members who wants to learn! YAY!

Jasper Abobon got baptised, he is 8 and they are Phillipeans so TONS OF FOOD, it was awesome! and after he was baptised everyone clapped, non members feel the spirit and don't know what to do, so often times they all just start clapping, it is something to rejoice at.

Patrick's birthday and we went out to dinner, we taught him the Word of Wisdom, he has been off alcohol for a month....he can do it! He came to church yesterday, brought sandwiches! and said the closing prayer in sunday school!!
St. Patricks Day.....a day to drink......
we weren't allowed in the city...because people start drinking at 10am.
and no one really wears green...who knew.
but we wore green and made cookies for members and delivered them!
And we ate the McDonalds irish burger...so it was a great day!

We had this feeling to go try by a less active we had never met, and we found her in, she let us come back and we were able to teach her! I love when that happens, because you know you were following a prompting from the Lord!

Games night- Patrick and hannah came and we played volleyball!

we had this idea! To do a True or False about the Mormons,
we typed up all these rumours we heard and true doctrine put them all in a bowl and went out with the Elders and cleared up some rumours! It was really good! People were really friendly and everyone likes games...and we brought star burst if they were right! #bonus!

We were also invited to Avery's birthday party she turned 5! It was soo cute! She was like it makes me so happy when the sisters come for dinner! they have the CUTEST kids ever!

As Easter is coming up I want to reflect and ponderize the scripture in Matthew 26:22 "And they were exceeding sorrowful and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord is it I?" what a powerful scripture and I love the talk "Lord is it I?" none of the disciples pointed fingers, they looked inside themselves and asked sincerely if it was them?

I know that Christ did rise on the 3rd day, and that He lives! #hallelujah
Happy Easter!!

Love

my week was great! super crazy............ready!?!?!?!?

The weather has been beautiful!! Seriously sun is shining and only one pair of tights! holla at that.

We were able to do lots of finding! YAY my favourite!

We went whiteboarding! You write a question on a board and have people answer it....some were really nice.......some....not at all. some man decided to come up to us and yell at us telling us we are a cult and are wrong and didn't know Christ...oh man...so i was like "sir...i am sorry you feel that way...but we are going to ask you to leave" he wouldn't.....sooo we moved..it was crazy..he was proper yellin at us....but we met some really nice people and made friends with these girls collecting for their school....Gene and Megan they were so nice! anddddddd we did some chalking too we drew the plan of salvation in chalk #wearecreativekindof and was really good! I talked to this guy who had a friend in Utah, i told him to go to the vistor center in Salt Lake maybe he will. Oh and I met this guy who works for a company in Draper, and another lady with the same companion..Crazy right?! Literally I'm like we are missionaries and they are like let me guess you are from Draper, utah...um what?! yes? it was crazy!!!

OH MY GOODNESS! I promise we are usually great tenants...........but not this week.....

so our washer was full of water...so we got down to the drainer...probably the size of a quarter...and WATER EVEYWHERE AT SUCH A RAPID SPEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
then whilst trying to get it to stop

BANG BANG BANG

on our door

BANG BANG BANG.

we had a previously bad experience with some creepy people at the door

QUICK call the Elders

and they came speedy quick half not wearing shoes....

just our polish neighbors.....yeah....their house was raining.......

OH MAN NEVER BEEN SO SCARED IN MY LIFE!!!!
yeah....sooooo that happened.

then sister skagen may or may not have flushed our phone...i don't mean it got wet I mean it disappeared and umm is gone....so this week has been....good?

Ponderize: Alma 33:11 "And thou didst hear me because of mine afflictions and my sincerity; and it is because of thy Son that thou hast been thus me3rciful unto me, therefore I will cry unto thee in all mine afflictions, for in thee is my joy; for thou hast turned thy judgements away from me, because of thy Son."

Another week down....gone way too fast!!

Ponderize: Alma 33:11 "And thou didst hear me because of mine afflictions and my sincerity; and it is because of thy Son that thou hast been thus me3rciful unto me, therefore I will cry unto thee in all mine afflictions, for in thee is my joy; for thou hast turned thy judgements away from me, because of thy Son."

thisssss weeeeeekkkkkkkkk

More blood work (yipeeπŸ˜’) THEN WE GOT THE COLD FROM THE GROWING MOLD IN THE BATHROOM. sick all day. the Elders went to our appointments.

Oh yea we talked to this older man, who asked if he could date sister skagen....she was like um no thank you.....it was pretty funny! we also talked to this really cool guy who said he would meet with us, so here's hoping.

we drove down to clonakilty! woot! and we visited Josiephine, she is in a old folks home. I have such a love for her! she is amazing! We sang a couple hymns with her, and felt of such a sweet sweet spirit!

we traveled up to Limerick for District Conference (stake conference) and I was able to talk to President Donaldson, he is great. The conference was great! we stayed with another set of sisters at this old sister flat that no one was currently staying at...literally so stupidly posh! Heated towel racks and a large fridge? and NICE MATTRESS?! like what the?! can we move in?! please?!

The limerick elders told us to go find someone from them to teach, we laughed but promised we would. we got back to the flat around 8.30. Only 30 minutes and we didn't have dinner.....so we went to this pizza place by the flat ordered pizza and went to find someone.

There was literally one man on the street clear up ahead....so we ran after him!

We talked to this African family about the Book of Mormon, they were born again Christians and did not want to hear us! Man. It is only going to bless your lives!! Just try it! but they didn't want it....yet....

i can't believe another week gone and done. time needs to slow down.

I'm trying to think of crazy things that have happened this week.......

we drove out to baltimore and didn't die...took some pictures on a blue boat
OH YEAH.
so there is this really old blue boat just sitting there so we just stop the car park it and are like we will move quick and just take some pictures..we are about to and a tractor starts coming so we pull more into the side so it can get past (one lane road) we take pictures and Sister Skagen starts backing up the car, I have to stand outside (rules and what not) and I am like quick a horse is coming...wait.  a horse is coming? and turn around and literally remember the video with mr. todd and he is riding in the little wagon type riding a horse? that is what it was...MADNESS i tried to take a pic..and the best i got looks terrible...if you zoom you can kind of see it.lol
we were squished into a tiny car for like 2 hours and i thought i was going to die....literally the car was making terrifying noises and i could hardly breath.
yikes. 😨
Mick is this old man with disabilities in a wheelchair, we only meet him like every other week. He is crazy. Literally there is tons of traffic and i'm pushing him in the wheelchair and he just starts going using his feet..like Mick there is cars!
Oh and! one night after giving our number to everyone! this number texts us like 80 times! 😱"Joseph Smith is gay" like every 3 seconds! Then they block us.

i might cut my hair....any ideas? i am sick of it...and you know change? maybe....

I love you all!!

A LIGHT AND LIFE THAT ARE ENDLESS He is the light that shows us the way to life eternal! BLAH. i Love the scriptures...then this week i chose (today) this scripture from doctrine and covenants 121:44 "that he may know that thy FAITHFULNESS is stronger than the cords of DEATH." do others see my faithfulness and feel that it's stronger then the cords of death? is my faith stronger then those cords? something i thought about during my study this morning.

so yea my week.
Tuesday: we had district meeting which was really good! we talked about being kind to others and having Christ like love, even to the people that spit on us. then we taught Patrick, he is doing good, he read some stuff on the internet (dodgy) and  then came to us (phew) apparently on Wikipedia it names all of Joseph smiths wives? craziness, we were able to explain it, and he said it made sense. we picked up some vitamins for Sister Skagen, and got our blood pressure checked.
Wednesday: we went to the doctors...which was pretty pointless. then we went ha ha and taught this born again man named Eric, who basically told us we were brain washed and to get out of our cocoon, Soo what do you do when that happens? testify. then mid my testimony he says "so where do i pick you up for church" WHOA WHOA WHOA what?! we were like um no...he was so funny and crazy, what a lesson! then we taught Agetha about coming to church, she finds it boring because there is a language barrier...it is really hard to get her to come out! boo.
Thursday: we went and visited khanyo, she had 2 friends there! it was amazing! We talked about how God answers prayers, and joined there family...wahoo! they were so fun! then we visting Josie Yaxley, she is in an old people home, she used to fly helicopters for the war! YEAH SHE'S PRETTY GREAT! so we got to hear her awesome stories!!!!! Then we had dinner with Hannah, she is doing good, she is excited to get to go to the temple!
Friday: We saw Buhle (right like almost my last name) but said buhhleaaa, yea. She was great too!!! Then we saw Patrick again, still good! Then we went to Yoga Night! The elders investiagator teaches it, so he came, it was fun! Oh yea and we got pizza right before and literally hide and ate it with 2 kids....it was really funny.
Saturday: the Quirkes made us a Barbecue! It was freezing but really good! we made cookies! Went and saw Laura and her mother Mags, which was good, then had dinner at the Peters, I learned how to make curry and some good soup! GO me.
Sunday: Sister Skagen was sitting next to our new investigator Georgia and I was playing the piano and then sat by Patrick and Hannah, and everyone thought I got moved! HAHAHA It was so funny! seriously all day, I got comments like "oh sister buhler you didn't move" umm...no? it was funny. Apparently know one pays attention to the pianist...oh and im learning how to play the organ. then we saw anne-marie and her kids! and then the stapeltons!!
we got moves call and we are both staying in Cork! YAY!!!!!
have a great week!!!

my week....

my week.... blah it was CRAZY!!!!!

tuesday: we taught Patrick! It was soo good we taught about the plan of salvation and told him to pray about it! He promised to say the closing prayer next week! he has such a sincere desire to know!  We had District Meeting which was good too! then we went to the Branch Presidents home for dinner:) He gave us ice cream!! YAY!πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘

wednesday: we went and got my garda card (garda is police, it's a card saying you are legal to live in the republic of ireland) and got all my passport stuff sorted! I know have to the end of my mission to be in ireland, so don't worry! then we went and taught Aodhan (agon), he is so funny! He just wants to be close to God, and was so grateful that he could be baptized and accepted a date to be baptized! OH MY GOODNESS! then we taught this man named Mark, who previous sisters taught, we ran into him and the grocery store on Monday, and arranged to meet with him. He got there and we were explaining what we did as missionaries...he is like "what's your first name?" and I usually don't give that out, because #missionary #immasister
so i say we just go by sisters on our mission.
"what's your name?!"
sister buhler?
"no!!! (*seems to be getting quite mad) what's your name"
me: looks at sister skagen
who makes an attempt to explain it..."umm it's nothing against you...we just don't give it out. sorry"
gets awkward...and i'm like well here's a book of mormon...did the sisters give you one?
"no."
oh well...
"can you have boyfriends?"
not in ireland but back home
"do you have a boyfriend"
me: umm (then i get a feeling to just say yes) yes, sister skagen and i both do back home.
"oh well...thanks" AND STANDS UP AND LEAVES

ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW! LIKE WHAT GOES THROUGH SOME PEOPLES MINDS!?!?!??!?!?!?!?😲😨

blah. our joint teach was dying! 😱
then we got Mcdonalds with a member...Virgine
then we went and taught Agetha! hahah we are reading the pamphlet about the Word of Wisdom, I read a paragraph and ask so what did you like in that
Agetha: oh. i just like your voice
me: ummm okay then

*later in the lesson
agetha: you are really mature sister buhler. where do you learn from?
hahah
sister skagen: you should see her at the flat
πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…
thursday: we borrowed the Elders car to go out to west cork and visit a less-active who is in her 70s and lives on an island...her name is Ingrid😁
we are driving there and we keep getting this feeling like we shouldn't go....we talk and don't know why so we keep going...then we pull over and are like we should not go...how weird...so we decided to go use the bathroom and head back into the city...sooo we pull into Clonakilty...we are literally walking into this cafe and this lady is staring at us, we say hello and she is super friendly (which is unusual) so we are like oh have you met missionaries before? she then explains she was baptized a year and a half ago in finglas (dublin) and moved here a year ago, and has been praying everyday to meet the missionaries because it's too far and no bus will get her to church. tears filled her eyes, and we sat and read a scripture about God answering prayers! He works in mysterious ways, and calls the weak, we just have to listen! We then prayed about visiting Ingrid and felt we should. so off we went. Ingrid is amazing! ah we just love love LOVE HER!😍
then we went and taught Ann-Marie and her kids, Jayden and Jonah! They are darling kids!
friday: we went to penny dinners (feeding the homeless) and some man told sister skagen she'd be the perfect wife! hahahahhahhaπŸ˜… we wear fake wedding rings because sometimes it gets pretty bad, but sister skagen forgot it and borrowed the elders ctr ring to wear. hahhahaπŸ˜…
then we went to powdermill which is an old people home and talk to this lady mona...then this man came out and started playing the according and mona got SO MAD! it was so funny though, she was like kick him out, he's doing that just to bug me! and he just kept playing, then he wanted to teach me how to play....yea fail...and mona got all mad at me saying she thought i was her friend! hahah she is so funny! so i had to apologize! haha
then we say Laura and Hannah, and went to the Branch activity!
saturday: we gave Patrick a church tour! branch meeting. then the Elders had a baptism! the spirit was so strong. this man Mark met them this week, and lives in china, he explained he'd been looking for the missionaries, because he wanted to be baptized, they taught him everything, and he is going to back to china today, where he wouldn't be able to be baptized so they had a baptism and he recieved the aaronic priesthood too. I was such a cool story!
sunday: church and the peters for dinner! nothing too crazy!
today we went to blarney castle and kissed the blarney stone!!!!!

Cork Ireland

blah. sooo sister skagen and i have been down right sick with the cold! i know it's ridiculous! and so we didn't have lots of time to go find new people to teach but we did get out to teach people!

tinyiko: he is really nice, he is from south africa and is being prepared to get baptized in 2 weeks!
patrick: is irish, super nice. just started teaching him, he is just willing to give it a try! super awesome
augon: we met him, we were heading home from an appointment with patrick (it was like 5 pm) and we asked him where he was heading, he said to get a pint and asked about us, oh we are just talking to people about God. he literally stopped in the middle of the street and is like i need god. so we went into this really posh hotel, he bought us posh diet coke and we talked about god and the word of wisdom
nicholas and his friend cosmen: they are from Romania and we talked to them about the book of mormon oh my nicholas was like i'm not reading that. we are like why!? and he compared it to being hit by a car...he was all i dont' need to jump in front of a car to know it's going to hurt...um what?! no...like no..but i rolled with it, i was like well you can see other people get hurt but you don't know how badly...you can take our word that it does good or you can see how much good it can do. he wasn't convinced. but his friend cosmen was like i want to try it!!!! YESSSS. so goal teach cosmen!😁
George: he was baptized and has cancer:( lung cancer so he is struggling...πŸ˜”he is really nice though and is so funny to teach
mick:  met this guy heading to church to teach tinyiko, he is in a wheelchair and we talked to him briefly he was in a car crash and was ejected from the car 600 meters.....and has brain damage, he is so lovely though we met him at McDonalds and he bought us diet coke ( i realize it sounds like lots buy us diet coke, it's just the safest thing to say when they offer you alcohol and or coffee...play it safe) and we talked to him about answers to his prayers. he told us he hitched hiked everywhere because buses dont' go as far as he lives and he can't drive anymore and all that. we invited him to church but he was like sometime i have to wait 3 hours for a lift. then sister skagen was like i promise you that if you go out at 10.30 sunday morning you will find a way to get to church. and he was like no...and the spirit was so strong and so i was all we are messengers of god and we know that if you show the faith and go out on sunday morning you will get to church...AND GUESS WHO WENT TO CHURCH!πŸ‘Š  yes..mick.
god love us.

yea. i'm am the pianist at the branch, and i'm slowly settling into it, it's different but good. they are really good members!

ah yes and Valentines Day.

Sister Skagen did i treasure hunt for me yesterday and gave me some candy😍 she's so good to me and we had diet coke in fancy cups.

Life is a blast and I love Cork!
