D&C 19:28 And again, I command thee that thou shalt pray vocally as well as in thy heart; yea, before the world as well as in secret, in public as well as in private

Monday-after errands and what not, we decided to put on our trousers and head of to the wilderness (basically our backyard) next to our flats there is a river, of course we wanted to know where it went...so us and the Elders sent off. Lots of mud, and water everywhere, we went under tunnels and climed over trees, I face planted it, into the mud....sooo my back hurt. ha, it seems I'm always the one to fall! Oh well. After that we ended our fast, and delivered cookies to all our neighbors, we have SUPER awesome/nice neighbors. They were like "Oh yeah we see you coming and going if you need anything, you know where I live" just super great! We tried by John who wasn't in and came home.

Tuesday- We had District Meeting, those are always very good, we went to White city, and did some try bys and finding!Literally we did 4 hours of FINDING! It was super great! We met this guy named Terry, he is super nice, and hopefully we will see him at church! Then we taught seminary for Brother Cairns, and had scripture study class! Dinner, and that was us!

Wednesday- We did some finding in the town in the morning, the Elders invited us to go to lunch with a couple who investigated the church years ago, Sandra and Ben. When we got there they were super excited, saying we were the first girl mormons they had ever met! We had a fantastic lunch, I told Sandra I liked Mexican food, so she kept calling me her mexican....it was funny. We will go back next month, and hopefully invited them to dinner with the Gilardis! Hoping all goes well! Then we walked Abby, we bought her a ball, and she was so excited! I love that dog. Then we did finding in town, tried to speak to this man from Greece, but he clearly didn't really understand us. So that was interesting! Then we went home and dropped by Julie-Anne's on the way.

Thursday- We took a train to Troon to find out our appointment was cancelled so we took a train back to Ayr, had weekly planning. We went and visited Louise in the Hospital and went to the Gilardis for dinner. Then we had mission coordination and some finding in Forehill!

Friday- We went Street Boarding with the Elders-basically you go to town with a board, saying things like Is there a God? etc. and just try and stop people and talk to them! Super good, I talked to this guy Daniel who is super cool and willing to pray and what not, so we are hoping to see him soon! Then we went to Sister Edwards-she should be getting glasses, so she is determined to come to church on Sunday! She is doing very good! Then we went and did finding! Then had dinner and training!

Saturday- We went and visited Sister Adamson. Then did some try by's in Dalmilling. Then we went and did some finding in town-which was super crazy because it was super busy, but very fun! Then we visited the Newalls, and came home for dinner!

Sunday- We had stake conference so we travelled to Pasily, Sister Shepard gave us a ride, which was super great because I don't love trains. Then we came home, and went to the Colbornes for dinner! After that we went to White City and saw Sister Burns, then we came home and had training!

Monday- We had zone development day. We played football at this park, and it was pouring rain, freezing, super windy, but totally awesome! By the time we finished everyone was frozen and completely covered in mud! After that we got locked out of the church and spent 30mins waiting for help. Then we finally got warm! There was a talent show- I played the piano upside down( haha we titled it Book holding with a bit of piano playing) Sister Hurskainen held the hymn book for me...it was great. It was nice to have a day to just have fun!

Hope you all have had a great week! Love you tons!!!

Without charity, men are nothing....

Monday: finished cleaning the Flat and went and did Finding in Dalmilling

Tuesday: Zone Interview Training! It was wonderful!Fun Fact: apparently Elder Ferris has a cousin in Texas....who knows Shea and Melissa....so to their request we got a picture...get it Ferris Buhler..hahahha anyways, we learned a lot about How to Begin Teaching, and the Gospel of Christ. Then we had scripture study class, dinner and training!

Wednesday: We did finding in town, we sang a couple songs, then did finding in Troon. And went to the McLenanas, they have a friend they want to invite to learn more, so we set up a "game plan" for them!

Thursday: We went to Sister Crossbie and helped her hang pictures from the walls and also do some ironing! Then we were late to the Gilardis, we were like an hour away...and we were supposed to be there at 5.....it was 4:45...so we prayed, and ran, made it to the Gilardis by 5:30...don't know how it happened! Needless to say Brother Gilardi was very shocked! Haha, we dropped by Julie-Anne who has kidney infections! Seriously, you would think we found people in the hospital because everyone we start teaching gets super sick...all the time!

Friday: We had lunch with Sister Meh, and a less active American John (because he's from America) and then saw Sister Edwards, good news she is getting new glasses and can't wait to start reading the Book of Mormon again! Sister Edwards, has had 42 injections in her eyes, to keep her from going blind! We went to the Newalls, and shared Helaman 5...really we need to build a foundation upon Christ! Then dinner and training!

Saturday: We did finding in town, which was crazy! So many people! So little time! We saw Sister Adamson who is doing very well! She has been praying and reading the Book of Mormon more!! Then talked with the Mackies, Jami was sick..but we talked about just meeting with Sister Mackie and Rebecca so that sound be  very good! Then we did finding in White City, had dinner and training!

Sunday: Church! Which was fantastic! We made Brother Cairns Flap Jacks, for his birthday! He was so happy! It was awesome! After church, we did some finding! And went home to make cookies! We made cookies to be delivered to our neighbors today! And for Julie-Anne! Then we tried by Catherine, and did chapping in that area! Went home had dinner and training, and delivered cookies to Julie-Anne, she was so happy! It was awesome!

This week I have been studying Charity! I love Charity! Favorite Scripture this week! Moroni 7:46-48
"Wherefore, my beloved brethren, if ye have not charity, ye are nothing, for charity never faileth. Wherefore, cleave unto charity, which is the greatest of all, for all things must fail- But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him. Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hath bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he is pure. Amen"

Have an amazing week! Love you all!

2 Nephi 2:22 "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also has become my salvation."

Monday- we went to the beach with the Elders, the beach was beautiful we played football, and hiked this wee hill. Then we found this wee playground, so away we went. There is one part of the playground that just looks like a big bowl....so I got on and we started to spin, well I flew off and hit the ground with a thud...it hurt.. we had a good laugh, because I'm not the smartest and went to the Langs for dinner. After dinner we tried to drop by at Julie-Anne who wasn't in!

Tuesday- We had a great District Meeting, afterwords we went to Sister Adamson, she is doing very well! She is really trying to draw closer to the Lord, and it's amazing to see the difference it is making in her life! Then we went and visited Sister Edwards, she is doing good, we told her we'd be teaching her all the missionary lessons again, since LITERALLY she hasn't been to church in 53 years....so we will need to refresh somethings. We did some chapping (which is knocking on doors) and went to the Scripture Study Class.

Wednesday- We walked Sister Shepard's dog named Abby. Then we dropped by a couple less active and potential investigators no of which were home. We went to Sister Kerr, she made us dinner which was super good and had her 2 wee grand kids over. Destiny and Darren. Destiny is 3, Darren 6. Okay, so it can be hard enough to understand little kids, but now imagine with a HEAVY scotish accent. I couldn't understand a word Destiny said, but I think she liked me she sang
us a lot of songs, and sat by me and held my bible while we taught Sister Kerr, then I braided her hair like Elsa, and I think she said come back soon....maybe....Then we traveled home!

Thursday- We started with 3 lessons, all got cancelled! We went to Sister Walkers for lunch, and then dropped off a birthday card and sweet to a less active. Then we did finding in the town, and try by's in town as well. Then dropped by the Mackies to find Rebecca (the oldest) pasty white saying her and both her parents were sick. So we ran home made a big pot of chicken noodle and delivered it! They were very excited...hopefully it tasted good! Also, when you take a bus with a big pot of soup it's a good conversation starter since most people are staring at you like you've gone mad. Good times. Good times.

Friday- Weekly planning. Then....exchanges...I had to lead the area. I was so terrified!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So. Sister Johnson came, and we took a bus to Sister Edwards, we ALMOST missed our stop but didn't! Phew! Then we went to try by Mackies who weren't in, so we did chapping on the street over. We had a couple people say yeah maybe you can come back, but no solid appointments. Then we chapped (knocked for the Americans) on this ladies door, she got talking to us, and invited us in!!!!!!!!!! We were like woah, (that never happens) so we went in and talked to her about the plan of happiness! It was awesome! Her name is Jennetter. She is lovely. Then we went to The Newalls for dinner, 3 course meal, I was full after the first course...so it was good! We talked with Brother Newall about Mosiah 5 and I made an attempt to be like Sister Hurskainen very smart with great comments. Then we got lost coming out of there house.....and once we came out we chapped the street next to the street we live on...no one was having us. We chapped on this one door and this old man answered said he had read the book of mormon.....then his cat ran outside and we LOST THE CAT. I feel so bad! We tried super hard to catch her, I pulled out my torch and tried to help, we looked for 15 minutes and the man gave up! We are going back this week and making sure he found his cat...if not...we'll find him a new cat!

Saturday- We did some finding in town center, which was super busy! We stopped these 2 Jehovah Witnesses, and talked about familysearch.org! They said they'd check it out for sure, it was awesome! We did some try bys I say "okay, Anne Macdonald of 7 Russel Drive, don't forget" and then go to push the button literally like 10 seconds later and say "9 right?" Sister Hurskainen laughed seeing I had already pushed 9, and said no. 7. Whoops, so this lady answers and I say "we are sister missionaries from the church of Jesus Christ of later day saints" and she opens the door, I just stared at Sister Hurskainen, we walked up to her door, and she said "sorry, I couldn't hear you" We talked with her, and she was super interested with told her why we share this message and how we can become closer to our families through Jesus Christ. She was super great and we set a return appointment for this week! Then we visited Sister Burns (less-active) and then went to Myrtles she is doing good! Then we went and updated the Progress Report!

Sunday- Church, which was super great! I love the ward!! Then we went and visited a lady named Mary Gilmore...she is in her 80s, and very ill. She can't make it to church because literally she can't leave her home. She just was put in the Ayr Hospital- 10 minutes away from us a couple days ago. We went and visited her, she is amazing, my heart was so full of love for her. Afterwards we went and met the Bishop in town and went to dinner at his home. Then we came home and had training and updated our Area Book!

Today- we decided to do a spring cleaning! So we re did the whole flat and moved everything! So yeah...good times!!

Hope you have a great week! Love you all!

Another week in AYR

Tuesday- We started doing training and planned the day to go to Troon (20 minute train travel) and visit and bring cookies to people...when all of the sudden Sister Mackie texted us (literally out of the blue) and asked what we were doing? We (Sister H. and I) looked at each other....and finally decided she did need help with something, we cancelled our trip to Troon. And told Sister Mackie, we would be over in a hour with trousers to clean. She accepted!!!! We cleaned her house and talked to her about growing closer to the Lord! It was awesome! We felt our relationship was able to be stronger through serving! Then we visited a less active Sister Kerr, which is always wonderful, we talked about our favorite scriptures! Then we had scripture study class-I brought sugar cookies and everyone LOVED them! So much they asked me to make more cookies for this weeks class....nice? right? haha, oh yes and Elder Scherurmann asked Brother Newall to pray (Brother Newall is a less-active who has never prayed for Sister Hurskainen and I because he "isn't ready") and guess who prayed!?!?! Sister Hurskainen and I just looked at each other! IT WAS AWESOME!

Wednesday- We got to walk Sister Shepard's dog Abby despite the pouring rain, and Abby loved it! We really enjoy that hour we get to walk with her! Then we went and did family history! Then we went to the Cairns for dinner! They are super lovely and got asking about Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, apparently Jeffrey R. Holland mentioned them in a talk or somewhere and Brother Cairns was dying to try them! Because I have awesome family and friends! I had Reeses and gave them to him yesterday! We then went and did some chapping!

Thursday- We had weekly planning! And then went to Coylton and did try by's..no one was in! Then we went to Myrtle with Sister Churimba and it went good! Apparently the Jehovah Witnesses were interested with the Book of Mormon, and Joseph Smith....long story short...we might get to meet with them....and they might come to church! Haha, loads of fun!

Friday-We went to Troon! We visited a couple less-actives and tried by a referral who was not it! Then we went to the Ward Activity-Kentucky Night...haha they had KFC (delicious) and we played Minute to Win it games!

Saturday- We went to Whitecity and tried by a couple people. Then went to see a referral from the Elders, her name is Sian, she is super cool, an atheist (not for long), and we have an appointment to go back later this week! then we had dinner, but we basically just stuffed food in our face since we had like 20 minutes to eat before we were supposed to start our fast...hahah then we went to the Newalls, and guess who said the opening prayer?! That's right Brother Newall, I wish I got a picture of his wife's face! Priceless! We had a great discussion on 2 Nephi 31, and he said he was ready to pray in front of people. Such great news! We sang all the way home!

Sunday- Fast Sunday! We had ward council! And we taught Young Womens, to the lovely 3 young womens. It's such a difference being in such a small ward! After church we went to Prestwick! We have a large ward list and so we have lots of people on the list that no one knows...so we went to their addresses, most of them haven't lived there in like 5 years...clearly an old list, but glad to get things done! We had dinner at Natasha's she is 17 and is planning on serving a mission, her parents are in America, so it was just her. She comes out with us a lot and is seriously amazing! Then home for training!

Today- We are going to the beach...so I'm pretty excited...then we have dinner with the Langs! Can't wait for the upcoming week!
