Mosiah 4:6 "I say unto you, if ye have come to a knowledge of the goodness of God, and his matchless power, and his wisdom, and his patience, and his long-suffering towards the children of men; and also, the atonement which has been prepared from the foundation of the world, that thereby salvation might come to him that should put his trust in the Lord, and should be diligent in keeping his commandments, and continue in the faith even unto the end of his life, I mean the life of the mortal body—"

I've been studying on how to better trust in God, fortunately there is LOADS of scriptures on it! So this is one of my favorites next to 2 Nephi 22:2, 2 Nephi 4:34, those are good too. This scripture is one they chose for the hymn 89 "How Great Thou Art". I have truly been blessed by trusting in the Lord, things work out WAY better! And I love the fact that I can give it all to him, and he will take care of me! We have been working with Elsie for a while, and whenever we invite her to church, she says she is too lazy, and doesn't want to. It has been so FRUSTRATING! Well guess who walked in the door to church Sunday!? Yep good ole Elsie! Sister Stevenson and I were so happy and surprised! What a blessing! We were able to see the difference that has come from the gospel in her life! We visited her after church and her house was so happy, and the spirit was already there, what a difference! What a miracle and blessing! We have been working really hard to find people to teach, this area is really hard to find steady people! But we have been able to meet super nice people that are interested, so FINGERS CROSSED! Moves Call is on Sunday, I'm nervous I'm pretty sure Sister Stevenson will be going and I'm nervous to lead out the area, since I don't know it too well! But everything will be fine! Another week has flown by and I'm not sure where all the time goes to be honest! We are working hard, and having loads of fun, my fingers have calluses on them from Sister Stevenson teaching me the guitar! We have been able to teach 5 lessons to investigators this week, which is a miracle! When I first got here we had 1 lesson with investigators a week! The Lord looks after us, and helps us find prepared people to teach, if we put our all in to it! I love the ward, they are amazing and so willing on helping missionaries! It's GREAT! I love all of your emails and letters!

Have a great week!

Good ole' Aberdeen!

This week has been another rainy, cold week here in good ole' Aberdeen! I absolutely love it here!!! We had a District Meeting which was amazing and just spoke a lot about what Elder Holland spoke to us about, which was nice. We were able to teach 2 new girls this week as well. Sarah and Jessie- are soo amazing! They are Chinese, and studying here, and they are looking for answers! After the lesson on Wednesday, they were like even if we don't join and nothing comes out of this, we are so grateful for you and that you are teaching us! We invited them to church but they were going to Dundee to here "Big Potatoes", aka important people...Idk I about fell off my chair laughing! Sure Big potatoes, hey I'm going to start saying that! We are teaching Maree and her fiancĂ© of 11 years, seems like he is becoming more open to marriage! We are hoping they get married soon! Lol, we are also teaching their daughter Alyssa who is 11, and that seems to be going well too! We are teaching Jorge and Lucas, and they came to all of church yesterday! And they loved Primary! I don't know what is going on, maybe the Lord is trying to teach me to love piano...I don't know..I have been asked to play as the pianist in Primary, and was asked to play in Sacrament, then the missionaries in Aberdeen did a musical number and a was asked to play for that, then asked last minute to play at the fireside....seriously..it's crazy! We have been able to do a little of finding but were able to find 3 people that wanted to learn more! This week has been full of miracles! I love being a missionary!!

Love you all!

MIRACLES GALORE!!!

This week has been absolutely amazing! I forgot to mention who we are teaching, and this week we received 4 new people to teach! What a blessing!! We are teaching 2 boys, Jorge, and Lucas, they are from Spain, both doing really well! We are teaching Audrey who is amazing! She is in her 30s and has a lot of questions! We are teaching 2 Chinese girls. Sarah and Jessie, they just want to know more about God! Teaching a lady named Betty who was previously taught by missionaries, as well as man named Gordan and another named Michael! So the weeks speed by and there is always lots to do! We are also seeing Rena, Maree and Elsie, all less-actives. And Marees daughter Alyssa who is not baptized! We have seen the Lord bless us soooo much! And feel so grateful for all that we have!!! President Brown and Sister Brown will be done at the end of this transfer and everyone is pretty sad to let them leave, but excited for President Donaldson and his wife! I have been asked to play the piano loads, and haven't felt so grateful that my mom had me play for all those years despite the complaints! I will be playing next Sunday for Primary as they sing Father's Day Songs, and for a missionaries farewell, as I will be playing as Sister Stevenson sings, and at a wedding at the end of June! MADNESS RIGHT?! I feel more as well, since everyone is dying to here Sister Stevenson beautiful voice, so a couple members want to get her songs, that I'll play to, we will see! I am so grateful for all that I have, and for the knowledge of the gospel! Don't worry even though we taught a lot this week, we had time to find new people, go to the beach, grab snow cones (heck ya) and build a fort! We may or may not have had less sleep this week, but it's been amazing!

Hope you all have a great week! Much love

A Weekend in Edinburgh!

WE had an awesome week, although it has been total madness! We were privilege enough to go to Edinburgh on Friday and listen to President Brown- instruct us for the last time (teardrop) he has been an AMAZING president, and he truly will be missed! We got to do missionary work in the streets of Edinburgh which was so awesome! Tons of tourists and foreign people! Beautiful weather, and beautiful land...we took a small detour to find Edinburgh Castle (success!) Saturday we did more finding and talking to people, and then got to go and hear ELDER HOLLAND! I shook his hand!!! IT was absolutely amazing! We travelled home on the train and because ScotsRail stinks and we didn't read the "fine print" we ended up having to buy 2 tickets home. But we finally made it home, late and 70 pounds shorter, but it was all worth it! We were able to be apart of watching the Broadcast as Elder Holland spoke to Scotland! He is truly awesome! Besides an incredible weekend, are week was also amazing! We spoke and met a couple people who we are hoping to see this upcoming week! We got to chap some high flats, which was just super interesting to say the least! I love being here with Sister Stevenson! She is amazing! And is teaching me how to play some songs on the guitar! (in the little spare time we have) Thank you all for your letters and for the love!! Hope you have a great week! God bless!!

ABERDEEN!!!!

This week has been pure madness. Travelling with a newly broken suitcase, and a slightly pinched nerve, but hey I made it out alive! 6 hours or travel and I made it to ABERDEEN!!! OH my days it rains alll the time!!!!!!!!!! so much rain! The weather can't decide if it wants to be rainy or sunny, it's almost like utah but more extreme..i think! Sister Stevenson showed me our posh flat and it is soo POSH! I love it! Sister Stevenson is amazing! She plays the guitar and has an amazing voice! She is also a great missionary! Madness this week as I was getting settled! Met with the Ward Mission Leader, the Bishop and a couple others. I love this ward! IT is an amazing ward full of great people! The Zone Leaders asked us to read the Book of Mormon and focus on sanctifying ourselves, I'm reading in Ether, (which is amazing) and it just talks a lot about how the people are righteous then they get prideful and are wicked, then they have a trial and repent, etc. The main reason behind it all is pride, which is annoying since I can be very prideful sometimes! As I was studying I realized that pride gets in the way of us becoming better. We have to humble and teachable to improve! So goal *stop being so prideful* Hopefully I can....haha...I have also been studying on how the Lord can trust me more as a servant of God, one thing I've learned is that I have to have the Lord involved, he has to be apart of my day-to-day life! I'm so grateful for all your letters/emails. I love you all to pieces and hope you have a fantastic week!

The saints are the sinners who keep on trying. “Our greatest glory lies not in never falling but in getting up every time we fall.”

Megan and Ashby are doing so good! Ashby has read like 80 pages in 2 weeks. I don't think she understands much, but she said she felt really good when she read! They are just darling and counting down days till they are baptized! Super cute! Chang-Ping goes back to China soon, which has been super sad! He is so nice, he added basically the whole ward on facebook, and I don't even think he can use it in China. The ward absolutely loves him! Yesterday the Chinese speaking Elders were able to come to Ayr and they translated everything. I've never seen him so happy. He was so funny about all of it. The Bishop told him he'd pick him up for an activity, and he came up to us and was like "Sisters, Sisters, the BISHOP is picking me up!!" We were like good. He said "yeah, I'm very lucky. very blessed!" He is just so funny! Louise is doing well, we are going to talk to her about baptism, she is in the middle of moving house so it's complicated to find somewhere to meet with her. The Mackie Family are doing well too, we did a huge activity in the back garden and acted out Lehi's Vision of the Tree of Life. They loved it! They are still talking about it! We have met more people to go and try by as well. The Lord really blesses us when we do all we can! Yesterday was madness. Sister Hobbs was asked to teach Young Womens, I was asked to conduct singing time in Primary. So we had to do splits..I think that's the longest we have been away from each other..haha it was weird....The primary was so fun, we played the hot and cold singing game. Boy did they love it! They just wanted to keep playing, and they are just such great kids!! I am grateful for the chance I had to be apart of primary! After that we were invited to go to Youth Sunday School, Sister Lang spoke about spiritual promptings, if we ignore, or we do. I have thought a lot about it, as a missionary we are prompted, or notice promptings more..well I think I do now more than at home. I need to be better at immediately acting upon it. So the Lord can trust me more in His work. This is Sister Hobbs, and I last week together, which is actually really sad..I've learned sooo much from Sister Hobbs, she is a great missionary! I told her I'd find her a husband in Utah so she'll live there. She goes home in November, and after I'm home has promised to come visit Utah, since a lot of missionaries are from Utah..haha. I am so grateful for  you all! I'm grateful for the support and the love! HAVE A GREAT WEEK!

"Charity is a gift from God."

"Charity is gift from God. The prophet Mormon said that we should “pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that [we] may be filled with this love” (Moroni 7:48). As you follow this counsel and strive to do righteous works, your love for all people will increase,especially those among whom you labor. You will come to feel sincere concern for the eternal welfare and happiness of other people. You will see them as children of God with the potential of becoming like our Heavenly Father, and you will labor in their behalf." Preach My Gospel Chapter 6

This week, well and last have been amazing!! I love being a missionary! For those of you debating it....JUST DO IT! (also Madee...just do it;) ) It is such a great thing! We have been so blessed to have to teach so many right now! Chang-Ping is doing well! He is going to china in 4 weeks, and he will be missed! He is just so nice and loving! He is so excited because in November he is coming to "my country" as he will be studing in Minnesoda..and he wants to get baptized there! I know the Lord is preparing missionaries to finish teaching him to love him and to baptize him and help him draw nearer to him! I am just so grateful I was able to meet this amazing man, and bring him closer to God, I have seen it completely change him! Louise is doing well, she managed to end back up in hospital and is moving house this week, so there is lots of things we will help her with!! But she loves the gospel and loves us teaching her! Megan and Ashby have decided to be baptized on the 13 of June! I'm a little sad because I will probably be moved by then, but I know the Lord will send someone who will love them as much as I do! They are so darling!!! We are hoping to go teach a couple people we met while chapping! So it's going so good!!! Also Dorell is doing amazing! She is also moving house and the ward has just taken that job upon them so they will help! Sweet right?! Voting is finally over which is nice because we got stopped some many times asking us to vote for someone..."I'm sorry, but I'm not apart of you country" Lol....I was able to skype yesterday which was lovely! Just think....when I skype again, that will be my year mark! CRAZY AYE? And Sister Hobbs will be home  by then...she claims she'll send me packages which is better! Haha it costs her like £3 to send anything home and it costs me £10 to send a chocolate bar home..not fair....Anyways I've learned a lot this week about how we need to be more Christlike even to those we meet on the street and even the drunk people too, I don't know why it is fun to go get drunk at 10am on a Saturday...like please...go home...see your family...But they will learn someday! I am so grateful for all your letters and emails!!! Hope you have a great week!!

xoxo
